Last Day of School

Due to the inclement weather we encountered in the Fall 2012, the students last day of school year is Monday, May 27th, which will be a 60% day. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:00 noon. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up if they are a car rider.

JPS Attendance and Uniform Policy

Attendance impacts your child's achievement level. Therefore, it is very important that all students attend school and be on time on a regular basis. Instructional classes begin at 7:45 a.m. for all elementary students in the Jackson Public School District.

When students arrive after 7:45 a.m., they miss valuable learning time. With the No Child Left Behind Act in place, it is extremely important that students are at school and on time to maximize their learning opportunities. We need your support in this matter.

As a part of the JPS School Uniform Policy, all students are required to be in school uniforms daily. Belts must be worn and tops should be tucked in bottoms everyday.

 Bell Schedule

Morning

7:00 a.m.  Building Open/Breakfast Begins

7:20 a.m.  First Bell Rings (Report to Class)

7:30 a.m.  Breakfast Closed

7:45 a.m.  Tardy Bell Rings (Class Begins)

Afternoon

2:00 p.m.  End of Early Dismissals

2:15 p.m.  Bus students dismissed

2:20 p.m.  Car Riders dismissed
